Happy Memorial Day! Slash Happy Birthday to Mom and Jamie!!!
Monday, May 20, 2013
Hello!
Well hey there. How is everyone?
This week was
pretty much the same as last. We saw some great miracles though. We
met a young girl named Jordan Sutton that has already been going to
church and wants to be baptized! So she is supposed to be baptized this Saturday.
So that was a great blessing. Then we also met some other people that
seem like they are somewhat interested so we should be teaching them
this week as well. The work is great out here. A lot to be done, but
we need the help of all the members.
Hmmmmm what else. Not much else happened, just
teaching a lot of people, doing service. Pulling weeds, helping people
move, moving washers and dryers. Just doing all sorts of stuff.
Going down to SLC tomorrow for zone leader council. Should be good. word.
I'll send pictures with these emails from Evanston.
Well I love you all! Miss you. Hope everyone is excited for
summer!!!!! I am. I've had enough snow, rain, and cold this winter.
Have a great week!
Love,

Happy Mother's Day!!!!
Hey everyone! It was great to see you on google hangout yesterday! I
miss you all and love you very much! I am going to keep this very short
because we had to go to Salt Lake this morning so we only have like 5
minutes to finish emailing before this place closes.
So this week was great. Leaving Evanston was hard. I met a lot of
great families that I miss a lot already, not to mention the people that
we were teaching!!! And I came here to basically start over in this
area and work from the ground up. We are already seeing some success
here. I hope to see a lot of success in this zone by the end of these 6
or 12 weeks.
We have met with a lot of bishops and the stake president already
and gotten a ton of referrals to contact. So now we are working on
contacting these people and offering them the happiness that comes from
this gospel and sharing it with them. We expect to find quite a few new
investigators this week and put some of them on date for baptism. We
are praying hard to be directed and find those who are prepared to
receive us.
Well thats just about all I have time for! I'll send some pictures
next week that I took with people in Evanston. Love you all.
Have a great week.
Once again it was great to talk to you yesterday!
Happy Mothers Day!!!!!
Love you Mom!
Sincerely,
-Elder Hansen

Moved again!
Hello Everyone! Well I got transferred again!! Its so ridiculous. I had only been there for 11 weeks. And now I am on the complete opposite side of the mission. I am serving in Tooele, Utah! I live in a tiny town just outside of it called Erda. Interesting name for a town. But yeah. I am still a zone leader. I am with a new zone leader. His name is Elder Wampler. He is such a boss. We are white washing the area though. So we don't have any idea what is going on. He came from an area in Holladay and I came from Evanston as you know. We both got put in there new and so we are just piecing things together and trying to figure out who was being taught and who will be baptized soon. I love it out here though. We cover 1 stake. The Stansbury South Stake. There are 10 wards in the stake. A great place to work and to find people to teach. I think I will really like it here. I hope I get to stay a little longer than I did in Wyoming. So yeah. Don't send any more mail to Evanston. It will be hard for me to get it. But here is my new address.

Also, I don't know where we are going to go to use computers to skype or google hangout or whatever on Sunday because we are both brand new here so we don't know any members..... So we will try to figure something out and I will probably call you in the morning or afternoon to set something up. Alright. Love you! Miss you all. Have a good weekend!
Godspeed.

Word
Hello my awesome family!! How is everyone? I love and miss you all and hope everyone is well.
Well,
this week was pretty rough again. It started pretty badly. I got
a migraine last Monday. So we didn't get to go out and work. It was a
pretty bad one. The first one I have had in just over a year. I was
really hoping not to have any one my mission, but I guess not. I got a
lot of powerade and bananas and all sorts of good stuff to eat so that
I'll be more healthy that way. Also I don't skip as many meals any
more. And I try to sleep 8 hours each night, but by the time we get done
with everything we need to and I write in my journal I end up getting
more like 6 or 7. But yeah. I'll be fine, just trying to take care of
myself better so that it won't happen again.
Then we went to Salt Lake City on Tuesday morning for zone leader
council. It was good. Then the rest of the week was basically just
trying to get some work done in our area and try to get it moving again
like it was before. We had zone meeting on Friday in Lyman. It went
alright. These missionaries really struggle listening and learning from
what we are told to train on, etc. But it went okay. It was on
planning. I have learned so much more about planning on my mission and
now I really know what it takes to achieve what we want. The training
basically summarized that it starts with a vision, which leads to goals,
which leads to planning, which leads to accountability. Its a cool
concept. Also ideally we should have 4 set planned appointments each
day, daily contact with our investigators, set commitments to leave with
our investigators at each appointment each day, and set people on-date
and coming to church. All these things are to be planned out a week
before. During our weekly planning session. Its a lot of work to do,
but it makes the week run so much more smoothly. And we achieve a lot
more. So yeah.
Only 1 of our investigators came to church
yesterday. That was really hard. It has been a struggle the last two
weeks to just get people there! But we are working on it.
Well I think that is all for this week. Transfers are on
Wednesday. So we find out tomorrow who is leaving and who is staying.
We have no idea what is going to happen. So I'll let you know! I will
probably stay. Or maybe not. I dunno.
Alright. I love you all!! Have a great week. Peak the Strategy
God lives and loves us.

The church is true.
Godspeed.

P.S. Here is a picture out in the Almy Ward. Pretty wide open space. Sick.
